Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings Sarpa Dosha Pooja in Gokarna is performed daily. The puja duration is two to three hours. Anyone can perform this puja. Kala Sarpa Dosha Nivarana Pooja is performed to remove Sarpa Dosha. Typically, two to three priests will be performing this puja. Sarpa Dosha occurs when all planets are positioned between Rahu and Ketu. A single person or a couple can perform this puja. An unmarried couple cannot perform this puja together. Parents can perform this puja on behalf of their children. For those who cannot attend, this puja can be performed by a Brahman. The Gokarna Mahabaleshwar Kshetra is known for dosha nivarana pujas.

Sarpa Dosha Pooja in Gokarna
The Kala Sarpa Dosha is one of the negative doshas that affects both our mental and physical well-being. It is a generational dosha that causes delays and bad luck. It forces people to live for other people and without success. Kalasarpa Dosha occurs when all of the planets are positioned between Rahu and Ketu. Only when half of the chart is free of planets can the Kalasarpa Dosha be fully established. There is no Kalasarpa dosha even if a planet is outside the Rahu Ketu planetary positions. There are two types of Kalasarpa Dosha: ascending and descending. It is known as the Ascending Kaalsarpa dosha when every planet faces Rahu’s mouth. When they are positioned behind Rahu, they are performing Descending Kalasarpa Dosha.

- Gents: dhoti (white) and upper cloth.
- Ladies: saree.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
