Our Sanskriti & Gyan Temples Pooja, Darshan, and Timings We perform Pitru Dosha Pooja online for those who are unable to attend in Rameswaram. We perform this puja following a defined process. A Brahman will take authority from the devotee and perform the rituals on his behalf. This online puja will help those who are living outside India. At Rameswaram, we speak languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and English. The puja duration is 3 hours. Typically, three to five pandits will perform rituals. An elder can perform Pitru Dosha pooja. One cannot perform this puja if his/her father is alive. In such a scenario, a Brahman can do the rituals. We livestream the puja process through a WhatsApp video call. One can watch the complete puja process right from the Ganapati puja to the Veda Aseervachanam.
The puja timings for online pujas start at 4.00 a.m. Online puja might not be possible on the Mahalaya Amavasya day. Thila Homam should be performed to remove Pitru Dosha and Stree Shaap. The puja duration varies with Japa Sankhya. A complete Pitru Dosha should be performed with 10,008 Japa Sankhya. 10,008 Japa Sankhya might take 3-4 hours for the puja completion. In such a scenario, 10 to 12 Brahmans will be reciting mantras.

Puja Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and shirt or kurta and pajama.
- Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans.
Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
