The booking procedure for Palani Marriage Hall and Kalyana Mandapam is outlined below. Palani is one of the six holy abodes of Murugan. Lord Murugan came here and resided on this hill.

The temple allows marriages on all days. Marriage halls are located on the hilltop and at the bottom. The temple permits simple marriages.

Palani Marriage Hall Booking Procedure

  1. The bride must be 18 years and above.
  2. The Groom must be 21 years and above
  3. Only Hindu arranged marriages are allowed at the temple
  4. Bride and Groom’s Aadhar Cards photocopies and SSLC Mark sheet photocopies are required for booking
  5. Parents must be there at the counter for the application form
  6. The application form must be duly filled out
  7. The filled application form must be signed by the Revenue officer
  8. All documents and photocopies, along with the application form required for Hall Booking
  9. A minimum of 30 to 60 days of booking is advisable

  1. Mandapam decoration, Purohit, Pooja Samagri, catering services, and Nadaswaram will be charged
  2. Rooms can be booked separately
  3. Photography and video shoots are allowed
  4. Catering services are not allowed inside the temple premises

Marriage Registration Procedure

  1. A receipt will be issued by the temple authorities
  2. A separate registration is not required, as the receipt itself is valid
  3. A marriage invitation card is required
  4. Newlywed couples’ Aadhar card photocopies
  5. Newlywed couples need to age-proof documents.
  6. In Tamil Nadu, marriage registration can be performed online.

Palani Temple Marriage for the Same-Caste

  1. Bride and Groom’s Aadhar Cards photocopies
  2. Bride’s parents’ and groom’s parents’ Aadhar Cards photocopies
  3. Unmarried certificate from the Bride and Groom or a duly filled application sealed and signed by the Thasildhar/MRO
  4. The unmarried certificate must be in Tamil or English
  5. Bride and Groom’s Community certificates and TCs are required

Inter-Caste arranged Marriage ID proofs

  1. Bride and Groom’s Aadhar Cards photocopies
  2. Bride’s parents’ and groom’s parents’ Aadhar Cards photocopies
  3. Unmarried certificate from the Bride and Groom or a duly filled application sealed and signed by the Thasildhar/MRO
  4. The unmarried certificate must be in Tamil or English
  5. Bride and Groom’s Community certificates and TCs are required
  6. NOC from the Local police stations
  7. A notary must record the marriage details and obtain approval from both the bride’s and groom’s parents.
