Pratyangira Devi Homam serves the Devi. One of Devi’s powerful expressions is Pratyangira. Pratyangira is a human-lion hybrid deity. Pratyangira Devi Homam has all the challenges removed. She also corresponds with Shakti and Shoolini Durga. Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. One should take a head bath before the puja. It is advisable to perform this puja on an Amavasya for the best results. Typically, two to three priests will be performing this puja. The puja duration is 4-5 hours.

This powerful homam primarily protects against evil spells and black magic. In order to obtain the blessings of Devi Pratyangira, this homam is performed by calling her, chanting the Devi Pratyangira Mantra, and then using dried red chilies for the Agni. A single person or a couple can perform this puja.

Dress Code

• Gents: wear a white dhoti and either a shirt or a kurta with pajamas.
• Ladies: saree or salwar kameez (with pallu, compulsory).
• All devotees are requested to avoid wearing clothes such as T-shirts and jeans, as they are strictly prohibited, irrespective of age group.
