Navagraha Homam in Srikalahasti is performed in a Yagashala outside the main temple. Navagraha Homam is performed to appease all nine planets. A complete Navagraha Japa followed by Homam usually takes 5-6 days. Typically, eight to nine priests will be reciting mantras in a day. On the last day, we have to recite mantras again while performing Ahuthis. Those planning to perform a Paripoorna Navagraha Shanti Homam should join a WhatsApp video call to perform the Sankalpam on the first day. On the final day, the puja duration will be 4-5 hours. Typically, three to four priests will be performing this puja on the last day.
For those planning to perform a simple Navagraha Shanti homam, we advise performing a 1008-count for each Graha. This puja will be performed in a single day. The puja duration is 4-5 hours.
