Nathdwara Shrinathji History, Timings, Darshan and Pooja
This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. In 1665, The Moghul emperor Aurangzeb ordered to destroy temples in Govardhan. The temple priests took the Idol and went on a journey. They were on the journey for 32 months before King Rajsingh offered the place. While moving Shrinathji Idol from Vrindavan, the chariot carrying the Idol struck in the mud at one point. The King Rajsingh thought it is as the sign from Lord Krishna hence the temple was built in 1672 and installed the Idol.
The deity manifested in the Seven-year-old Child form.
