Temple Darshan, Pooja and Sevas Information Infoirmation Website Mangalya Pooja is performed on all days. The puja duration is 2 to 3 hours. When the marital time is not auspicious, people perform Maru Mangalyam, Thiru Mangalyam, or Mangalya Pooja. In such a scenario, an astrologer will suggest a remarriage. In any Nithya Kalyana Kshetra, perform this Maru Mangalya. You can perform this Pooja in Tirumala. We will perform this puja outside the main Tirumala temple in a mandapam.
Dress Code
- Gents: dhoti (white) and shirt or kurta and pajama.
- Ladies: saree or salwar kameez.
- Regardless of age group, we kindly request that all devotees not wear clothing such as T-shirts, jeans, etc.
Thiru Mangalya Pooja Procedure
- Usually, the husband and wife perform pujas without their relatives’ presence.
- This pooja is a correction to the Mangalya dharana timing.
- An astrologer will suggest the remarriage timing.
- If not, it can be performed during Brahma Muhurtham, as it will not have any dosham.
- Perform this puja in a Mandapam.
- The puja duration is 2 hours.
- There won’t be any Kanya Dhanam performances during this time.
- There will only be one Kanya Dhanam performance in a lifetime.
- Any remarriage or second marriage should avoid this Kanya Dhanam.
- Remove the Mangala Sutra and foot rings (Mettlu in Telugu) and store them in a cloth.
- This should be dropped in the Hundi after marriage.
- Usually, one priest will perform this puja.
- The couple should bring their new Mangala Sutra and foot rings. Please check with your astrologer about this.
- After marriage, some will perform Sapthapadi and some will not.
- You can perform this dosha nivarana pooja in Tirumala on all days.
- Auspicious days are preferable for such pujas.
- This should not be performed after noon.
