Instructions to be followed
- Women can participate in this puja after the fifth day of their menstrual cycle.
- If there is any death in the family, one should perform the puja after 3 months.
- One should stop consuming non-veg and alcohol for another 11 days after the puja.
- Three days before the puja, one should abstain from alcohol and non-vegetarian foods.
Maha Mrityunjaya Homam in Hyderabad
This puja is advisable for newborn babies and elders. We experienced priests perform this puja daily. The puja cost depends on the Japa Sankhya. An astrologer can inform you of the Japa Sankhya based on the severity of the dosha. The word “Maha Mrityu” means death. Jaya means victory, which means victory over death. For a 50,000 Japa Sankhya, four to five priests will recite the mantra. Eight or nine priests will recite the mantra for every 100,000 Japa Sankhya. A simple Mrityunjaya Homam will be performed with 1008 Japa Sankhya.
