Gruha Pravesam Puja in Hyderabad
A one-day Griha Pravesh Puja is performed for 4 to 5 hours. One should break a coconut at each room entrance and throw Navadhanyas. The puja room also serves Deva Pratishta. Next, one should boil milk in a vessel until it spills over. Pooja is to be performed on the cow and calf. During a one-day puja, Vastu Mandapa Aradhana, Lakshmi Puja, Ganapathi Havanam, Lakshmi Ganapathi Havanam, Vastu Havanam, Navagraha Havanam, Lakshmi Havanam, Sudarshana Havanam, and Vastu Bali, followed by Devatha Kalyanam or Vastu Kalyanam, will be performed. At the end, Satyanarayana Vratham will be performed.
For a two-day puja, it is necessary to perform certain rituals in the evening hours the day before. The rituals include Ganapathi Puja, Vastu Shanti, Navagraha Mandapa Aradhana, Ganapathi Havanam, Vastu Havanam, Navagraha Havanam, Lakshmi Havanam, Sudarshana Havanam, and Vastu Bali.
The next morning, the following rituals are to be performed: Dwara puja, Kushmanda bali, Griha pavesam, coconut breaking in each room, Devatha pratishta in the puja room, milk boiling until it spills over, Ganapathi puja, Devatha Kalyanam, Satyanarayana swamy vratham, and puja for the cow and its calf.
It is important to sleep that night in the new house after Gruha Pravesam. One should perform Vastu Shanti puja before or after Gruha Pravesam. This puja should be performed by the married couple. An unmarried person cannot perform this puja. In such a scenario, any elderly couple can perform it on their behalf.
