Terms and Conditions for Ticket booking

• At the time of entry, all devotees shall produce the same original ID Proof used during booking. Age proof shall be produced for children below stipulated age to enter the Temple without booking tickets.
• All the devotees in group ticket have to report together.
• The devotees should not carry any luggage/electronic gadgets while reporting.
• All bookings are FINAL: Postponement / advancement/ cancellation/ refund is not allowed (if paid).
• Entry with footwear is not permitted into the queue lines and Temple.
• Temple reserves the right of cancellation of Darshan under Special Circumstances.
• Late Darshan not allowed
• The entrance will have sanitising stations and thermal screening, and only asymptomatic people will be allowed in.
• Footwear will have to be taken off inside your vehicle, or, if needed, kept in separate slots assigned to each individual or family.
• Entry will only be permitted to those who wear masks
• Touching of idols, holy books and statues will not be allowed, and physical distances will have to be maintained in queues through markings
• Physical offerings like holy water will not be permitted
• Devotees will not be allowed to ring bells when they enter the temples and there will be no community feasts either.
• Persons above 65 years of age, persons with comorbidities, pregnant woman and children below the age of 10 years are not allowed and advised to stay at home

Marriage Timings: During temple opening hours

Location: In the temple premises, 3rd Parkara of the temple.

• The Bride must be 18 years and above
• The Groom must be 21 years and above
• A minimum of one booking is required
• Bride and Groom’s Aadhar Cards Photocopies
• Bride’s parents and groom’s parents Aadhar Cards Photocopies
• Only Hindu arranged marriages are allowed here in this temple.
• Enrollment will be issued at the temple for Thirumanglayam in the Sannadhi
• A marriage certificate will be issued by the temple management after the marriage
• Marriages without parents’ acceptance are not allowed here.
• Priest and Pooja articles’ charges have to be paid separately

• Thirumangalyam is allowed inside the temple at the main deity premises (Non-COVID days).

• Sannadhi Kalyanam may not be performed on special days.

Thiruverkadu Karumariamman Temple History

As per the folklore, Goddess Karumari disguised herself as an old nomadic lady and went to Sun God to forecast his future. Sun God unknowingly Ignored Devikarumari. Goddess Karumari disappeared with the Sun God act. Soon the brightness of Sun God started diminishing. Realising his ignorance, Sun God pleaded Goddess Karumari for his mistake. Sun God also requested Goddess Karumari to make Sunday as the day of the Goddess for which Goddess accepted. So Sunday is celebrated as the day of Karumari
Sun rays touch the head of Devikarumari twice in a year which happens in the month of Panguni and Purattasi.

.As per the Legend, Lord Venkateswara once visited Thiruverkadu to see the glory of the Goddess Kumari. Karumari requested Lord Venkateswara to stay here and bless devotees. Lord Venkateswara accepted her request and stayed here.
