<p>Galtaji Temple Jaipur History, Timings, Entry fees, Route</p>



<p>As per the Legend, Sage Galav ji did penance here on this hill for 100 years. Please Lord blessed this place with abundant water. This temple was built by Diwan Rao Kriparam the then courtier of Raja Sawai Jai Singh II. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna, Hanuman and Sun God.</p>



<p>This temple was built with pink sandstone on top of the hill. This temple is was built in the 18th century.</p>



<p>Three Kund&#8217;s are available in this Shrine which are Galta Kund, Gomukh which was originating from rock curve and Janana Kund.</p>



<p>It is believed that Ganga Ji water comes out of the Gomukh continously.</p>



<p>It is believed that taking a holy dip in Galta Kund relieves one from the Sins.</p>



<p>This temple will be thronged with devotees on Karthika Purnima day.</p>

<p>Jal Mahal Jaipur History, Timings, Entry, Route info</p>



<p>This Mahal was built by Maharaja Madho Singh I in 1750 AD. Jal Mahal stands amidst the Man Sagar Lake. Jal Mahal means Water Palace, as it is located in the mid of the Lake. This palace was built to duck hunting during their leisure time. This Mahal architecture reflects the Hindu and Mughal construction style. Entry is restricted to Jal Mahal as it was declared as the protection site. Earlier visitors are allowed inside the Mahal who reach this palace by Boat. But now it is not available.</p>



<p>This four-storeyed building was built with special lime mortar which prevents water leakage into the Mahal.</p>



<p>Man Sagar Lake attracts different bird species. It is estimated that 150+ bird species feed on this lake.</p>

<p>Jaigarh Fort History, Timings, Route Info, Entry fees</p>



<p>This fort was built during the reign of Sawai Jai Singh in 1726 AD using red stones. Largest Canon in Asia is kept for the display in this fort, it was manufactured&nbsp;in 1720 AD. This cannon was called by Jaivana Cannon. Jiavana was never used in the war. This fort was the centre of artillery production for the Rajputs. This cannon was tested once with 100 Kg gunpowder. This fort was built in the Aravalli hill range. This fort was called by Cheel Ka Teela or Hills of Eagles. There is a passage in the fort which connects Amer fort.</p>



<p>This fort architecture reflects Hindu and Mughal construction style. This fort was designed by the architect Vidhyadar.</p>

<p>Nahargarh Fort History, Timings, Entry fees, Route info</p>



<p>This fort was built on the hills of Aravalli during the reign of the king Sawai Jai Sing II. It is said that Rathore Prince Spirit obstructed the construction. That the spirit destroys the construction built in the morning hours. A temple was built and dedicated to prince Nahar Singh to pacify the spirit. This fort was renovated in 1868 by Sawai Ram Singh.</p>

<p>City Palace Jaipur Timings, Entry fees, Route info, Online Booking</p>



<p>This palace was built during the reign of the King Sawai Jai Singh II between 1729 &#8211; 32 AD. The palace construction reflects Hindu and Mughal architecture style. Interesting places within the Palace are Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Sabha Niwas, Armoury, Pritam Niwas and Textile Gallery</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Baghhi Khana (Hansom Gallery)</h3>



<p>It is located&nbsp;at Entrance Gate 2. It has Chariots, Victoria Bagghi gifted by Prince of Whales, Palanquins etc</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Sabha Niwas</h3>



<p>Next to Bagghi Khana. This was built during the reign of Sawai Pratap Singh during 1778 &#8211; 1803 AD. It is a spacious assembly hall.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Sarvato Bhadra Chowk</h3>



<p>West of Sabha Niwas. This hall was built to conduct the private meeting with his staff. Largest Silver Gangajali is available for the visitor&#8217;s view. This was made by the Silversmith Govindaram and Madhav. This utensil was used to Ganga water and 2 such jars were made out of 14000 silver coins for each jar.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Pritam Niwas Chowk</h3>



<p>West to Sarvato Bhadra Chowk. This passage was built to connect the Royal Residence with Courtyards. It has 4 entrance gates with Hindus Idols at the entrance.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Mubarak Mahal</h3>



<p>It is located at Gate No.1 entrance. This Mahal was built to entertain Foreign guests at present it is used to display Textiles of Royal family. The major attraction is the Saree of the queen which weight 9 Kg.</p>

<p>It is a five-storeyed Mahal with 953 windows. This was built by the King Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 AD. It was built for the Royal family members to watch the street celebrations from windows. Pink and Red sandstone was used in the construction. The Palace architecture resembles Hindu and Mughal construction style. The Mahal structure resembles Lord Krishna&#8217; crown as the King was an ardent devotee of the Lord.</p>
