<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kodumudi Temple Marriage Procedure</h2>



<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>The bride must be at least 18 years old.</li>



<li>The Groom must be 21 years and above</li>



<li>Only Hindu arranged marriages are allowed at this temple</li>



<li>Bride and Groom&#8217;s Aadhar Cards photocopies, Date of birth certificate photocopies</li>



<li>Bride&#8217;s parents and groom&#8217;s parents Aadhar Cards photocopies</li>



<li>The marriage form must be filled out and signed by the Village Revenue Officer (VRO) or Thasildhar.</li>



<li>Booking is required, as a limited number of marriages are allowed at the temple</li>



<li>Hall rent is to be paid at the time of booking.</li>



<li>Group marriages are performed inside the temple at the Darshan exit point.</li>



<li>A hall booking receipt is required for the hall allotment.</li>



<li>A 90-day booking is required for marriage halls.</li>



<li>Marriage registration is not performed at the temple.</li>



<li>A receipt will be issued after marriage, which can be used for the registration</li>

<h2>Kodumudi Magudeswarar Temple History</h2>
<p>As per the legend, A competition rose between Wind God Vayu and Adisesha about their strength. Adisesha held Mount Meru tightly. Vayu blew the mountain with all his strength. Mount Meru broke into seven pieces each as a Gem Shivalinga. One such piece fell at Kodumudi. The devotees used to worship here for Naga Dosha Pariharam.</p>
