Kanipakam Annaprasana Procedure

1. The devotees are allowed to sit next to each other.
2. The maternal uncle will be holding the child on his lap
3. The Pooja begins with Ganapathi Pooja followed by Annaprasana
4. The priest itself will provide Prasasdam.
5. A gold ring will be dipped in the Prasadam and touched to the baby’s lip thrice.
6. After Pooja, the devotees are allowed to have Darshan thru the Normal line.
7. Special Darshan tickets can be purchased while purchasing the Annaprasana Ticket
8. After Darshan, the child’s father will break the coconut outside the temple at the Darshan line entrance.
9. Annaprasana, Aksharabhyasam and Namakaranam will be performed together.
10. Max 5 to 6 couples are allowed to sit for a Pooja slot.

Maha Harathi or Kumba Harathi Timings: 6:20 pm to 6:30 pm

Dress Code: Men must remove Shirt and Vest during Maha Harathi. Women are allowed to wear Chudidhar Dupatta/ Saree

Kanipakam Maha Harathi

The devotees are allowed to sit inside the Sanctum of Sanctorum on either side of the entrance. Dress code is must before entering the temple. Maha Harathi will be performed right after Palabhishekam. Palabhishekam cost Rs.150 per person. During Palabhishekam, one can have Nijaroopa Darshan. After Abhishekam, the deity will be decorated will garlands and jewels. For Abhishekam Men must wear Dhoti and to remove Shirt and Vest before entering temple. The devotee have to carry Milk packets for the Abhishekam which is available next to ticket counter itself. 3 Milk packets cost Rs.90.

Devotees are allowed to enter temple by 6:15 pm. 5 different Harathi’s will be offered to the main deity. Kumba Harathi will be performed at the end. Maha Starts at 6:25 pm and ends by 6:30 pm. The devotees have to leave right after Maha Harathi as Normal and Sheegra Darshan starts after this Pooja.

It is advisable to participate in Palabishekam as one can have the Nijaroopa Darshan and it runs for 30 mins. Maha Harathi is the next option which runs for 5 mins only.

Palabhishekam timings: 5:40 pm to 6:10 pm.

Kumba Harathi: 6:20 pm to 6:30 pm.

During Palabhishekam and Maha Harathi, All other Darshans will be stopped.

Kanipakam Marriage Procedure

1. Marriage Cost depends on the Hall cost and arrangements.
2. Pre-booking is required for temple cottages.
3. A 3-month booking is required for the Temple Cottages.
4. Documents required for the Booking: Aadhaar Card, School Certificate for the Age.
5. Documents required from Bride and Bridegroom, Parent’s Aadhaar Cards.
6. Only Hall will be provided by the temple.
7. Purohit, Marriage items, Hall Decoration, Food arrangements, and Seating arrangements are of personal interest.
8. The marriage hall will be allotted for 24 hours.
9. Rooms will be allotted for 24 hours from the time of check-in
10. For anything above 24 hours, 2 days charge will be applied.
11. Two days of hall allotment are required for the marriages, which include Upanayanam and Dhattata Sweekaram.
12. Inter-caste arranged marriages are allowed at Kanipakam.
13. Inter-religion and love marriages without parents’ acceptance are not allowed.
14. Simple weddings are performed at Mandap outside the temple.
15. Kindly note that Kanipakam Temple might not provide any marriage receipts.
16. Newlywed couples are allowed to have Darshan after marriage.
