<p>This idol is a monolithic statue and is known as Vijayanand Ganapathi. It is said that this Idol is increasing year by year and measures 90 x 50 inches. It is believed to be installed during 849 AD &#8211; 892 AD by the Chalukya Kings of the eastern region. Devotees used to whisper their wish in the Lord&#8217;s ear. This idol was discovered in the agricultural fields. In the year 1988 the then priest, Golapalli Chalapati Rao performed Laksha Patri Pooja and Ganapathi Homam on every Sukla Chaviti day and this continued for 10 years.
