Best time to visit: summer and winter, i.e., Jan to Oct and Nov 3rd week to December.
The best time for Giri Pradakshina: is after 7 p.m. as devotees walk barefoot.
Arunachalam Giri Pradakshina Procedure
- Perform three Pradaskhina at Dakshinamurthy temple, followed by Sankalpam
- Walk for 15 meters and perform Sankalpam at Ramana Maharishi
- Walk 12 meters from here and perform Sankalpam at Swayambu Vinayaka Temple before proceeding.
- The rush will be high on full moon days. It is not mandatory to perform Pradakashina on Purnima Day.
- Those who can’t walk properly used to perform Pradakshina by car as well on other days (excluding full moon day)
