Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Vratham
The temple literature states that Lord Venkateswara represents Lord Sri Maha Vishnu. All Sri Vaishnava khetras celebrate this event with great pomp and show as Anantha Padmanabha Swamy. Another form of Lord, called the Sayanaupa reclining position, is also celebrated. In the main temple complex, there is another image of Anantapadmanabha Swami where pilgrims can view the Lord in his reclining position. Tirumala is the number one Vaishnava temple among the 108 Vaishnava devasams. This day, Bhadrapada Sukla Chaturdasi, is observed annually.
