Procedure that has to be followed at Alangudi Temple

• Offer prayers to Lord Vinayagar before starting to the temple
• Then offer prayers to Dwaja Ganapathy appearing on the flag post
• Next is to offer prayers Lord Abathsagayeswarar (Lord Siva) followed by Guru Dakshinamurthy
• Finally, prostrate before the flagpost (Dwajasthambam)
• It is advised to Lit 24 Ghee Lamps and performing 24 Pradakshina to Guru Bhagawan for effective results.
