Narayan Bali Puja is performed if there is any unnatural death in the family members. The departed soul will not leave until rituals are performed properly. If death is not natural, such as death due to a pandemic, illness, accident, burn injuries, early-life death, snake bite, committing suicide, murder, consuming poison, drowning in the water, etc. The soul is thought to be caught in “PRET YONI” following the unnatural death and begins to cause suffering to his/her family members in several ways. The soul will be relieved from the pain and suffering of this puja.
