Tirupati Ugadi festival 2018, Date and Timings

Vilambinama Ugadi Date: 18 Mar. Telugu New year.

Panchanga Sravanam will be done on this special day at Bangaru Vakili inside the main temple.

Elaborate arrangements are underway to observe the Telugu New Year- Vilambinama Ugadi festival in the Srivari temple

On the festival after daily ritual of Suprabatham and Shuddi, ThomalaSeva will be performed as usual.

Both the main deity and processional deities will be decorated with new clothes followed by Panchanga Sravanam  which forms the core part during Ugadi Asthanam. Panchang Sravanam, priests read about sign and their life style for the coming year.

In view of Ugadi festival, TTD has cancelled all Arjitha sevas including Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam on the day.

    Is divya darshan allowed on ugadi day. Please let me know asap. I am planning to visit tirupathi on ugadi day. What are the other darshan available on ugadi day.

    Hi i am planning to have darshan with my 4 year old kid. Is there any special darshan available? What is procedure to book the same. I am ok for any day this month and if not this month then in May. Thanks

    Hi,

    I am planning to visit Tirumala on 5th March morning, I will be taking Srivari Mettu footpath to reach Tirumala and have dharshan on the same day. Questions I have are

    1. I have not booked any room at Tirumala as the same is booked till next 2 months. Would I get a room on top to freshen-up?

    2. How long would be the waiting time for Divya Darshan? should I book Special Darshan and go?

      Hi sir,

      rooms can be tried under current bookings but takes time and for darshan it may take around 2-3 hrs approximately for darshan

      Dear Sir,
      For Abhishekam it is either by recommendation letter or lucky dip booking enrollment at Vijaya bank.
      A day in advance is required at Vijaya bank office tirumala.

      HI Sir,

      You need to visit alemelu mangapuram first and then you can plan to tirumala and if you plan from alipiri it would be 3550 steps
