Auspicious Days for Naga Prathishta Pooja

• Kindly note that the pooja will not be performed on Ekadasi days, Ashtami, Dasami, 2 weeks during annual festivals, or solar and lunar eclipse days.
• Chavithi, Panchami, Shasti, Dasami, and Ekadasi days are good for this pooja
• Except from the day of Aslesha or Kruthika stars, which occurs once every 27 days, any Tuesday or Sunday is auspicious.

Naga Prathishta Pooja Dress Code

• Gents: dhoti (white) and shirt or kurta and pyjama.
• Ladies: Saree or Salwar Kameez (with Pallu Compulsory).
• All pilgrims are requested not to wear clothes such as T-shirts, jeans, etc., as the same is strictly prohibited, irrespective of any age group.
• Male devotees should remove their shirt and vest during the pooja.

Pooja Tickets Booking

Tickets will be issued only at the counter for the same day. The ticket counter opens at 9 am. Online booking is not available.

Kukke Subramanya Naga Pratishta Pooja Procedure

• Take a holy dip at Kumaradhara River, which is 2 km from Main Temple. Autorickshaws will be available from all places.
• After holy dip, perform 6 pradakshinam at Aadi Subramanya Swamy Temple.
• Reach the temple ticket counter before 9 am.  ticket cost Rs. 400 per person
• Firstly, Ganapathi Pooja, followed by Sankalp.
• Sankalp should be performed before entering Nagapratishta Mantap. You need to find a priest who is idle at that moment.
• After Sankalp, you need to enter Nagapratishta Mantap, which is available next to Sankalp Mantap.
• Homam will be performed in Garbagruha.
• Around 11:45 pm, Abhishekam will be performed to the Snake Idols.
• After the pooja is completed, the prasadam cover will be given to you. Prasadam cover includes coconut and dhoop sticks.

How do reach Kukke Subramanya Swamy Temple?

1. From Bangalore, KSRTC runs direct buses to Kukke. The bus starts around 11 pm and reaches Kukke Hill in the early hours. Private buses do run to Kukke on a daily basis.  Temple is 335 km away.
2. From Mangalore, Temple is 183 km, KSRTC direct bus is available.
