This national park stretches over an area of 1412 Sq Km. This park is inhabited by 300 species of birds, 36 species of reptiles. From the recent census ie. in 2015 it was recorded as 523 lions live in this forest.  This area is reserved to protect endangered Asiatic Lion which was 20 in 1913.
