Amber Fort Timings might differ on public holidays.

It is advisable to reach Fort before 4:00 pm.

Not good to reach the fort at 5:00 pm as counter closes by 5:30 pm.

Distance is a little long from Fort Entrance to Ticket Counter. Taxi Charges from Fort entrance to Ticket counter cost Rs.300 which can be avoided if planned early. Auto Fare from Hawai Mahal to the Fort Cost. Rs.50/ person.

It cost Rs.1000 per person for 2 days. The ticket is valid to cover major sightseeing places in Jaipur.

Visitors Exit Time: 6:30 pm

It takes 2 hours to cover all Sighting places inside the Fort.

Best Time to visit: Mid Oct – Feb.

Amber Fort Entry fees

Elephant Ride Available Timings: 7:30 am – 12:30 pm. Two persons are allowed per Elephant Ride.

Tourists flow will be high during Nov, Dec and Jan months.

Please note that Online booking is not available for the Entry ticket and Light Show. It has to be purchased only at the counter for the same day entry.

This palace construction started in 1589 AD which got completed in 1727 AD i.e took 137 years to build the palace. This fort was built by Raja Man Singh I and the architecture reflect the mix of Hindu and Mughal structures. Raja Man Singh I followed by Mirza Singh Jai Singh and Sawai Jai Singh majorly contributed in building this palace. The fort wall runs for 11 Km which covers the Palace.

Interesting Places at Amber Fort Jaipur

Diwaan-e-Aam and Diwaan-e-Khaas

Diwan-e-Aam which means ‘Hall of Public Audience’. It is said that the king used to listen to the public grievances at this place.

Sukh Niwaas (Sukh Mandir)

Sukh Niwaas means Residence of Pleasure where King used to spend time with their Queens and sometimes with their mistresses. There is an artificial channel which carries cool water inside to lower the room temperature.

Sheesh Mahal

The Sheesh Mahal was built with mirrors inside and is the beautiful structure of all. The Walls and ceiling were carved and designed with beautiful paintings and flowers which were made with pure glass.
