THIS IS PANCHA NARASHIMA KSHETRAM’S FIRST. From Miryalaguda station, which is on the Hyderabad to Chennai route via Nalgonda, this location is 20 miles away. The area is in the Andhra Pradesh district of Nalgonda. 

Darshan Duration: 15 to 20 minutes.

Vadapalli Narasimha Swamy Temple

According to the Puranic legend, Agyasthya Muni brought the Siva Kesava idols 6000 years ago with the intent of installing them. After passing through every Loka and arriving at Bholokaham, he heard AKasivani stating that Lord Narashima desired to be established at the location where the sangamam of the River Krishna and the River Musi were. 

Agyastayar built and placed a temple dedicated to Lord Narashimar. Many changes occurred over the years; the temple was neglected, and an ant mound buried the main deity. 

Reddy Kings built their city in the twelfth century, and when they discovered the deity Narashimar, they rebuilt the temple and erected the principal deity. 

The temple is a tiny one with lots of space surrounding it with vegetation and trees. We observe Garuda close to the Dwajasthambam and Dwjasthanbam near the entrance. On both sides of the entryway, we enjoy Jaya Vijayan’s darshan as we enter. We must enter the artha mandapam, where Lord Lakshmi Narashima Swamy is available for darshan in the main sanctum. The Goddess does not have a separate sanctum. In the temple, this is the only sanctum. 

Two burning lamps are fastened to a pole next to the god inside the main shrine. One lamp is halfway down, while the other is at the height of the main god. While the light directed toward the other lamp remains steady, the light directed toward the top bulb is swaying. 

They claim that Lord Narashima’s breath in the main sanctuary is what causes the light to tremble. 

The Lord of this place is unique in this way. This is Akanda Deepam, the Deepam.

• Male devotees must always wear a pancha with kanduva for all sevas and pujas, while female devotees must always wear a saree with a blouse. Other outfits won’t be permitted.
• The only people who can conduct the Seva with a single ticket are couples (wife and husband) or single individuals.
• Younger than ten-year-olds are allowed to accompany their parents.
• The ticket holder’s name should carry a photo ID.
• This ticket is non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Using a mobile device on Temple property is strictly forbidden.

It is a historically significant temple built on a large, open-land area later. ‘Govindanamaalu’ is written all over the temple roof to assist followers in reciting them while doing Pradakshinas. Stalls are set up half a kilometer from the temple for the Mela, or fair, every Saturday. If the devotees consistently execute 11 Pradakshinas (circumambulations) on 7 Saturdays, Lord Venkateswara will be pleased and grant their wishes. Because of this, a sizable crowd of enthusiasts congregates here every Saturday.

The material used to create Lord Venkateswara Swamy’s deity is sandalwood. ‘Kalyana Venkateswara Swami’ is another name for Sri Venkateswara Swamy in this context. For ten days, there is a magnificent celebration of Brahmotsavam. Today, many devotees come from all across the state to perform poojas and rituals. 

Devotees hold that if they perform ‘Goda Devi Kalyanam,’ unmarried girls and boys will eventually get married.
