<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With the help of Shatru Samhara Pooja, we can&nbsp;defend ourselves from our rivals in our careers and provide ourselves with the strength to take them on. In addition, it helps&nbsp;preserve wealth and solves all of the difficulties that arise, such as repeated losses in business and debts. &#8220;Shatru samhara&#8221; is a Sanskrit term that signifies &#8220;enemy&#8221; and &#8220;destruction.&#8221;&nbsp;&#8220;Samharam&#8221; is derived from the Sanskrit word &#8220;Samharam.&#8221; The destruction of our adversaries is the primary objective of this puja&nbsp;that we are performing. God Karthikeya is the object of our worship during this puja ritual. Some people believe that happiness, celebrity, achievement, and financial success are never going to be consistent. At times, competitors or any other malicious beings can&nbsp;spoil our wonderful lives. The Shatru Samhara Pooja is highly recommended for those facing work challenges.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Anyone can perform this puja regardless of their age. The puja duration is 3-4 hours. Typically, five to six priests will be performing this ritual. It is advisable to fast while performing this puja. One should take a head bath before the puja. A single person or a couple can perform this puja. One should perform this puja with utmost devotion and sincerity. Even parents or relatives can perform this puja on your behalf. It is advisable to perform this puja on Shasti days.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Thiruchendur Murugan Temple is located on the shore of Bay of Bengal in the south, which is 35 km from Tirunelveli. This is the only shrine of Lord Murugan, which is located on the seashore. Usually, all His temples will be on Hill Tops.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Thiruchendur Murugan Temple Legends</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As per the Legend, Lord Murugan, Commander-In-Chief of Devas encamped here at Thiruchendur. Murugan installed Siva Linga to offers prayers, for which Mayan, the architect for Devas constructed the temple. From here, He&nbsp;sent the message to the demon Surapadma at Veera Mahendrapuri thru Veerabahu Devar for the battle.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lord Singaravelavar (Murugan) received the divine Lance (Vel) weapon from His mother at Sikkal to beat Surapadma.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The sand on the shore at Thiruchendur completely turned Red with the bloodshed due to battle. Thus this place referred to as &#8216;Senthur&#8217; which mean &#8216;Red region&#8217;. After winning the battle against Surapadma, Lord offered prayers to Lord Siva at the Mayan built temple.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The victory against the demon is still celebrated here as Skanda Shasti.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Aadhi Sankaracharya visited this temple praised Lord Murugan with a great Stotra. Murugan offered Darshan and blessed Aadhi Sankaracharya here.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As a mark of respect to the war zone where Lord Camped himself, Honorary prefix &#8216;Thiru&#8217; was added and popular by Thiruchendur.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This temple was renovated by Pandya Kings and the Chera Kings. The temple was fully built-in 1941 after which Kumbabhishekam was performed.</p>
