Kasapuram Nettikanti Anjaneya Swamy Temple Legend

Sri Vyasaraju who was the Spiritual Guru of Sri Krishna Devaraya of Vijayanagara empire while on his journey took a halt near Shilpagiri (also known as Chippagiri) with his disciples. Anjaneya Swamy appeared in the dreams of  Sri Vyasaraju and provided directions to the place where the temple can be built. Sri Vyasarju along with his disciples started searching for the place in the forest and planted a neem stick on a sand heap. To their surprise, neem stick started growing and leaves started appearing on the dry neem stick. Thus this place came to know as Nettikallu.

Sri Vyasaraju installed Anjaneya Swamy Idol at this place and this kshetra called by Nettikanti Anjaneya Swamy.

Everyday, Free and quality food will be provided to 100 pilgrims. On Saturday’s, food will be offered for 400 devotees.

Rama Sethu Sila

There is a stone which is collected from The Rama Sethu bridge. Lord Rama with help with Vanara Sena constructed Rama Sethu bridge to cross the sea. This Rama Sethu connects Rameswaram to Lanka, the stones laid for the bridge construction will float on the water. One can see the stone here inside the temple which is floating on the water.
