In view of heavy pilgrim rush being anticipated to the hill town of Tirumala following half-yearly holidays, TTD has resolved to restrict VIP break darshan to Protocol VIPs only from December 23 onwards.

The VIP recommendation letters will not be entertained from December 22 onwards in Tirumala. Following the weekend pilgrim rush and as important occasions like Vaikuntha Ekadasi, Dwadasi, New Year days have also lined up, the management has taken this decision in the larger interests of common pilgrims.

The cancellation of break darshan on references continues until further decision by the management. It may be mentioned here that during peak summer holiday TTD had restricted VIP break darshan to protocol VIPs for 40 days to facilitate more darshan time to common pilgrims. The decision to revive VIP break darshan will be reviewed by TTD in the first week of January 2018.
