Jammu to Karta Distance: 48 km. The devotee can travel by Bus or Own Vehicle.

Dress Code: Any decent outfit will be allowed for Darshan.

Darshan usually takes 1 to 2 hours during Feb month, 5 to 6 hours during holidays.

Children under 3 years don’t need tickets. It is free entry with their parents.

Ropeway tickets can be purchased near to Kalika Bhawan. Only offline booking is available for these tickets. Ticket cost Rs.100 per person.

Vaishno Devi Temple Yatra Details

Distance from Katra to Vaishno Devi Temple: 15 Km. Katra is located at an altitude of 2500 ft high. Vaishno Devi Temple Yatra begins from Katra only.

On reaching Katra the devotee can avail Parchi (ticket) from Yatra Registration Counter at the entrance.

The Parchi will be checked and stamped at Banganga. Bana Ganga has located 1 km from the Temple.

Next, comes Charan Paduka where one can find the foot impression of the Goddess. From here, Bhawan Via Himkot is 5.5 Km and Bhawan Via Adhkuwari is 6.5 Km away. Garbha Joon at Adhkuwari is the place where goddess did penance in a cave for 9 months. Hathi Matha is 2.5 km from Adhkuwari.

The devotee must display his/ her Parchi which was issued at Yatra Registration Counter to get the actual Darshan ticket.

Group number will be allotted at the Yatra Slip Counter located right next to Luggage Counter.

Shoes, Bags, Belts, wristwatches with leather belts, comb, pen, pencil, purses, handbags, electronic gadgets, Sweets are not allowed inside the temple.

One must keep all his belongings at Luggage Counter or Free Cloakrooms available at Gate 1 entrance.

The devotees are called by their group number and can enter Gate 1 for Darshan.

Devotees will keep moving through the new tunnel to have Darshan of Three Pindies.

Usually, it is quick Darshan on normal days. On Special Days, it goes up to 9 – 10 hours to have Darshan.
