Ugra Srinivasa Murthy Procession, Date and Timings

Ugra Srinivasamurthy will be taken out in a procession on 1st Nov on the occasion of Kaisika Dwadasi. The Utsava deity will be taken out in procession in Thiru Mada streets during early hours. The processional deity will be taken inside before sunrise.

The idol of ‘Ugra Srinivasamurty’ will be brought out of the sanctum sanctorum of the hill temple only once in a year before the break of the dawn on a golden palanquin as is the tradition.

Later the temple priests conducts Asthanam to the deities inside the temple and read out the significance of the festival.
