The Mallikarjuna There are only three temples in India that are both a jyotirlinga and a Shakti Peetha, which is a special shrine to Shakti Devi. Jyotirlinga is one of only 18 of these.
It is said that Lord Shiva appeared as Arjuna on Amavasya (no moon day) and Goddess Parvati as Mallika on Poornima; that is how the name Mallikarjuna came about.
The goddess Parvati is said to have confronted the demon Mahishasura by changing into a bee. Those who pray at the Bhramaramba temple think they can still hear a bee buzzing through a hole in the wall.

Srisailam Kalyana Mandapam Booking Procedure

1. The Bride must be 18 years above.
2. The groom must be 21 years old or older.
3. Only Hindu-arranged marriages are allowed in these halls.
4. Bride/ Groom/ Bride Parents/ Groom Parents Aadhaar Card Photocopies are required.
5. Three months of booking are required.
6. Hall will be allotted for 24 hours.
7. All required documents are to be submitted at the CRO office.
8. Srisailam Kalyana Mandapam booking is open to all.
9. Marriage Hall Cost: Rs. 6,000
10. Hall capacity: 50–100 members.
11. Hall Location: Near Mallikarjuna Sadan.

Srisailam Simple Marriage

1. The Bride must be 18 years above.
2. The groom must be 21 years old or older.
3. Bride/ Groom/ Bride Parents/ Groom Parents Aadhaar Card Photocopies are required.
4. All required documents are to be submitted at the CRO office a day in advance.
5. A receipt will be issued which can be used for the marriage registration.
6. No hall or space will be allotted for the marriage.
7. The couple can get married in the temple space anywhere in Sri Lanka.
8. Only Hindu-arranged marriages are allowed in Srisailam.
9. Rs. 500 to be paid in person at the counter for six members’ darshan after marriage
10. All valid documents are required, without which they will not be considered.
