This Peak is located at an altitude of 4908 ft above the sea level. It provides 360 degrees view to Shillong City.  It takes 20 – 30 mins drive from Shillong City.

Timings: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

Shillong Peak Opening Date and Timings

Best Time to Visit: Feb-Jun. It remains open on all days.

During Winter and Rainy Season, Viewpoint will be covered with clouds.

Entry process: As this area is under Indian Airforce Surveillance, one must carry Original Valid Photo ID. During peak hours, the security checking process takes about 2-3 hours.

Entry restricted to Non-Indians. Tourists inflow will be high during Dec, Jan, Feb, Apr and May months.

By Road

1.  From Shillong, this place can be reached by Private Taxi.
2. It cost Rs.600 -700 (approx) for a trip which includes Shillong Peak and Elephants Falls.
