Kovalam Beach

This beach can be reached from Thiruvananthapuram and takes 15 mins by Bus. It is a famous tourist destination since 1930. It has three adjacent crescent-shaped beaches Lighthouse beach, Howah Beach and Ashok Beach.

Samudra Beach

This beach is located to the north of Ashok. Waves crash on the rocks below attracts very much.

Thiruvallam

This place is 10 km from Thiruvananthapuram. This serene backwater stretch, en route to Kovalam. Canoe rides, Kayaking, and Cruises in Ketuvallams. Tour to nearby Islands of Pozhikara and Edayar is available.

The Great Kovalam Poet Monument

The great poets Janakeeya Maha Kaviangal, Ramakatha Pattu and Bharathampattu stayed in Kovalam which is near Light House Beach, Avaduthura in 1400 AD.

Vizhinjam

A fishing village located 2 Km from Kovalam. It is a natural port and is the busiest harbor.

Chowara

This is fishing Hamlet and is close to Kovalam.  Azhimalathara beach is the place where the sea recedes from the coast.

Poovar

An isolated beach which is close to Neyyar River estuary.

Light House

This is 35 mt tall old lighthouse. Steps are available to view the beach from the top angle.
