Ooty Lake Entry Fees and Timings

The above price and timings may vary time to time and is under the control of Tamil Nadu Tourism Department. One must wear Life Jacket while boating across the lake. Paddle boats,.Row boats and Motor boats are available. This artificial lake stretches on 65 acres of Land and was created by in 1824 by John Sullivan. The lake came under the control of Tamil Nadu Tourism in 1973. It has Garden at the entrance, a mini train and amusement park for the children. Horse rides are also available at the entrance. The streams from the hills joins the lake. Ooty will be heavy crowded during Summer season. As the temperatures will not go beyond 25 degrees Celsius during day time.
