<p>Melmaruvathur Temple History, Timings, Route info</p>



<p>In the 1960s, Local noticed miracle that milk started oozing out of the Neem tree. Surprisingly, the milk tasted sweet though it is from the Neem tree. </p>



<p>On 28 Nov 1966, due to heavy rains, the neem tree was uprooted from its place. A swayambu Idol was found beneath the root. The devotees realised that it is because of the Swayambu the milk tasted sweet.</p>



<p>The devotees unearthed the Swayambu and installed Idol. on 25Nov 1977, Aadi Parasakthi Amman Idol was installed inside the Sanctum Sanctorum. </p>

<p>Evening Hours: 3:00 pm &#8211; 8:00 pm</p>

<p>Sakthi Malai will be performed by the devotees as per their ability. It can be 1 day to 45 days. It is believed that those who wear this Sakthi Malai will be blessed with Good health and Family well being. </p>



<p>The devotees are allowed to perform Abishegam with their own hands to the Swayambu.</p>



<p>Those who practice this Malai sincerely and performing Agapradhakshanam in fasting yields good results.</p>
