<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mangala Gauri Gaya History</h2>



<p>As per the folklore, Sati Devi daughter of Daksha Prajapati married Lord Siva against her father&#8217;s wish. Daksha thought of taking revenge on Lord Siva for which he decided to perform Yagna. Daksha invited all Devas excluding Lord Siva. Sati who came to know about this Yagna reached her Paternal home advising her father. Daksha insulted Sati before the guests. Angered Sati Devi immolated herself in the Yogagni. Lord Siva who came know to the death of Sati raised high and ordered Kala Bhairav to destroy Yagna and kill Daksha. Kala Bhairav and Kali reached Yagna along with Siva Ganas and destroyed Yagna place and beheaded Daksha&#8217;s. Lord Siva after collecting Sati Devi&#8217;s corpse danced the dance of destruction. Lord Vishnu sent his Chara and made Sati&#8217;s body into pieces to protect the Universe from this destruction. The places fell across Indian Subcontinent and these places are known as Sakthi Peetas. Sati Devi&#8217;s breast was fallen here.</p>

<ol class="wp-block-list"><li>The nearest railway station is at Gaya. The direct trains are available from all parts of the country.</li><li>Patna station is 102 km from Gaya.</li></ol>

<ol class="wp-block-list"><li>The direct bus is available from Patna to Gaya at regular intervals.</li></ol>
