This man-made Lake was built in 1362 by Picchu Banjara. It is the oldest and Largest lake in Rajasthan. It is of 3 miles in length, 2 miles in width and 30 ft width. The lake got its name from the nearby village Picholi. Maharana Uday Singh later extended the lake.

Lake Palace Hotel was built in 1745 CE which is a UN World Heritage Site. The boat was used to convey Royal family members to and from the Lake Palace Hotel.

This lake is surrounded by City Palace Complex, Lake Pichola Hotel, Jag Mandir Palace.
