<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kadri Manjunath temple History, Timings, Pooja and Darshan Details</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">&nbsp;Kadri Manjunath temple History</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Parasurama, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu did penance for Lord Siva to get rid of the Sin. Lord Siva asked him to perform penance at Rasakoopa. Rasakoopa which is located in the Suvarna Kadali Vana was submerged in the ocean. Parasurama with his supernatural powers brought the Vana outside the water and performed the penance. Lord Siva pleased with the devotion self-manifested on top of the Kadri Hill.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This temple was built during 10-11th Century AD. This temple was later renovated during the reign of Vijayanagara Kings in 14th Century AD. 7 Holy Tirthas are located at the entrance of the temple. It is believed that Sapthakoti Mahamanthra transformed themselves into the holy Kund.&nbsp;Kashi Bhagirathi Theertha is located on the north-east side of the temple.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There are other shrines for Vishnu, Ayyappa, Ganesha and other deities.</p>
