Gavi Boating Timings and Charges

Best Time to visit: Jun – Nov months

It is a full engagement at Gavi ie. from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. One day program cost Rs.1000 for one person. Accommodation is available near the Dam. Tourists used to stay in tents. Tents are located close to the Lake and provide an excellent view. Tourists used to spend their evening hours outside tents. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner will be provided as part of the day program. Tents will have electric fencing to avoid any animal intrusion during nights. The restroom is also available near to the tent.

Gavi is 28 km from Vandiperiyar and located in the Pathanamthitta district. This forest host many rare species such as Nilgiri Tahr, Lion-tailed Macaques, Tiger, Gaur, Indian hornbill etc. This area comes under Periyar Tiger Reserve Zone.

Online booking is not available for this tour package. It can be booked on arrival at Kumily. Best time to reach Gavi is at 2 pm that is after having lunch at Vandiperiyar town. It helps in maximising the stay at Gavi as it is 24 hours only.
