<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Aranmula Parthasarathy temple History</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As per the Legend, Parthasarathy Idol which is worshipped at Aranmula had originally installed at Nilakkal, which is near Sabarimala. The Pandava brothers after crowing Parikshit went on a pilgrimage. On their journey in Kerala, each Pandava brother installed Idols of their Ista Devatha on the banks of the River Pampa and nearby places. Lord Vishnu Idol installed and worshipped by Arjuna at Nilakkal.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As the place is good for living, Inhabitants were forced to leave this place carrying the Idol with them.&nbsp;It is said that Lord Krishna disguised himself as Brahmachari wandered along the banks of the Pampa and showed them this place to live in. This was Aranmula. Since people carried their&nbsp;Idol in a raft made of Six Bamboo sticks, hence it is named as Aranmula.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple Valla Sadya</h4>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This festival is celebrated on the eve of Ashtami Rohini ie. Chingam month in Malayalam. It is the birthday of Lord Krishna which is celebrated in a grand here. On this festival days, Devotees offer 60 varieties&nbsp;of food to Lord Krishna. All items requested by the devotees have&nbsp;to be served to please Lord Krishna. The procession of carrying Rice, Vegetables and other articles for the feast on Thiruvonam day is a major event.</p>
