Temple Timings during Chandanotsavam
Darshan Timings: 4 am – 7 pm.
After 7 pm, entry to queue line will be stopped. Only devotees who are already there in the line will have Darshan.
Akshaya Tritiya Day or Chandanotsavam
Only on this day in the whole year, one can have Nijaroopa Darshan of Narasimha Swamy. Nijaroopa Darshan will be available only for 12 hours. During this time, the temple will be heavily crowded with VVIPs.
While clearing the sandal paste for Nijaroopa Darshan, temple doors will be closed. This event will take 1 hour to make the arrangements for Nijaroopa Darshan. This event will be held by the temple priests, after which Ananda Gajapathi dynasty will have the first darshan as they are trustees for this temple.
For all other days in a year, Lord Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy will be fully covered with sandal paste.
Giripradakshinam
Walking around Simhachalam and Kailasagiri Hills. The deity will be taken out in a procession around the holy hills. This event will be held on Full moon day in the month of Ashada (Jun/Jul). Giripradakshinam will cover 40 km which takes more than 8 hours to complete one full round.
How to reach Simhachalam Temple?
- Temple is 19 Km from Visakhapatnam Bus station. Visakhapatnam which is well connected with road, air and Train.
- From Visakhapatnam Railway station, the temple is 16 km away.
- Bus frequency is quite from all parts of Vizag to this temple.

We are stopping over vizag for our next flight to Kolkata.. We will land at Vizag airport at 8:30 am and our next flight is at 1:00 pm. Which means we have time from 8:30/9:00 to 12:00. I see that temple is 13 kms from the airport. Can we go to the temple, finish the darshanam and comeback to the airport in 3 hours? Is it practically possible?

I want to visit Simanchalam Temple on 29th and 31st for two days .
On 29th I will go by 6pm evening and on 31st I will go by 9am morning .So I want a special puja as mansik for my son .As my son has no speech till now as he has got 12years of age.
