Here is the procedure to be followed for Tirumala
1) Before taking steps path, plan to visit Kapila Theertham in Tirupati, wash your feet and hand and sprinkle water on you head from this pushkarini http://gotirupati.com/kapila-theertham-temple-history/
2) Then you can start journey to Tirumala, after reaching Tirumala, plan to visit Swamy Pushkarini (Srivari Pushkarini) near to main Temple, wash your hands and feet and sprinkle water on your head from this pushkarini. The visit Aadhi Varaha swamy Temple which is at the bank of Pushkarini.
