At the ancient majestic location of Karvetinagaram, there is an important Lord Krishna temple renowned as the Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple Karvetinagaram. This is the only Krishna temple located in the vicinity of Tirupati, depicting the Childhood of Lord Krishna.

It is located at the town Karvetinagaram, located at a distance of 42 km from the Tirupati. Here the Lord is abode along with his virtuous consorts by the names of Goddess Rukmini Devi and Goddess Satyabhama Ammavaru. This temple is located at the Karvetinagaram. This temple comes under the direct administrative control of T.T.D, Tirupati. The temple was once maintained by the Narayanavanam Rulers.

1) Direct buses are available from Tirupati but with less frequency.

2)Sri VenugopalaSwamy Temple Karvetinagaram is located at 13 km from Puttur. From Tirupati, there is quite a number of buses to Puttur.
