Mada forests

It is natural formation on the bays of River Godavari, Krishna, Gouthami and Vaintheya with the Ocean. Olive Ridley sea turtles lay eggs on the 18 Km long sandpit on the North-Eastern side of the Sanctuary. Turtles lay eggs on this sand beaches between Dec and May months. Totally 35 Plant species are located in this Sanctuary. Walking the wooden bridge which is 2.5 km long attracts tourists, as it passes thru the forest wetlands.

Commonly noticed birds in this forest, Little Egret, Cattle Egret, Pied Kingfisher, Small Blue Kingfisher, Black-Capped KingFisher, Pond Heron, Reef Heron, Grey Heron, Night Heron, Little Stint, Sand Piper, Red Shrank, Red Wattle-Lapwing, Crow Pheasant, Flamingos, Sea Gulls, Purple Heron, Brahmini Kite, Open Bill Stork, Little Cormorant. This wetland forest host animals like the smooth Indian Otters (Mudskipper, Crab) Jackal Monkeys and Fishing cat.

Boating is available for tourists. The mangrove forest is natural formation at the bays of Rivers Krishna and the Godavari. Coringa mangrove is the second largest mangrove forests in India. 35 mangrove species can be seen here. Maredumilli forest Trip

It takes 8 hours to cover all the places in the forest. Two Wheelers and Four Wheelers are allowed inside. No separate fees to be paid for the vehicles. No parking fees for the vehicles. Restaurant available inside for the tourists. After Pine Trees, the route continues to Bhadrachalam. Special permission is required from this point. Wildlife starts from this point and is 17 km from the entrance. Best time to visit is during the Rainy season. Oct, Nov and Dec months is the best time to visit this place.

Jungle Star Night Camp

It costs Rs.4000 for 2 adults and Rs.6000 for 4 adults. Cost includes Accommodation, Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast and Fire camp. Room check-in at 12:00 pm and checkout at 12:00 pm. 8 rooms are available at this Camp. Trekking at early hours will be conducted by the staff which takes 2.5 hours walking in the deep forest.
