AP Government runs free buses from Sullurpeta to Bheemulavaripalem and Nelapattu at regular intervals. Celebrations start in the evening on all these days. Stalls from each department will be installed here.

Food and Accommodation

Stay at Sullurpeta is preferable during the flamingo festival days to access nearby places. Restaurants are close to the bus station and operate from 7:00 am – 10:30 pm.

Sullurpeta, Pulicat Lake

Bheemulavaripalem

AP Tourism department provides free boating services on these special days. Timings: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Boating ride runs for 20 mins in the lake. Visitors will get the chance to watch a variety of birds. Bheemulavaripalem is 20 km from Sullurpeta Bus station.

Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary

AP Tourism opens the bird sanctuary for tourists from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. It is going to be free entry during flamingo festival days. Nelapattu will be highly floated with migrating birds during this season. Nelapattu is 15 km from Sullurpeta Bus station.

Sriharikota Visit

Visitors can reach Sriharikota from Sullurpeta either by Cabs or Autorickshaw. SHAR runs free buses from Sriharikota entrance to First Launchpad, 2nd Launchpad and Mission control centre at regular intervals. It is going to be 1 hour 30 mins ride and is free entry for all visitors. Visitors are required to carry ID proofs to access Sriharikota entry. SHAR is 16 km from Sullurpeta and Pulicat Lake falls on the way to SHAR.
